HEAD OF THE CLASS

I want to know why there is a gap of achievement throughout students in the public education system. I want to know if there is a correlation between students’ individual learning styles and how well the succeed in school. I want to know these things because in my personal experience as a student, I have lived through the struggle of having to adapt my learning styles/preferences to how I was being taught. It’s difficult for someone, like myself, who is a visual learner to sit and listen to a lesson be taught, that’s not how a visual learner's brain absorbs information. I have been a part of the students who were above the gap and a part of the gap, it’s difficult to adapt. My goal is to find if there is a possible correlation between students learning styles and how well they do in school.
